It was a punch, but was a glancing one. His thumb came funny, the thumb knuckle looked like got him the eye. Hard to tell without watching the impact of the touch. They went over the extended fingers of the other hand on tv.

Happy Davidson is moving up in weight, he cant really do 125 anymore. Really hope his eye is ok, that was a very rare blow.

Mma gloves may need to be changed, the thumb knuckle is free, but could mess up grapplin. Its a weird one.

If you tried, you could throw punches, missing and hoping your thumb scrapes their eye. Surprised this hasnt happend before with all the short hooks we've seen
