Louis Gossett Jr Dead At 87

Louis Gossett Jr. was one of the better parts of several of his lesser acclaimed movies, including Jaws 3-D and Firewalker. He had an extensive career not only in film, but also in television (hosted SNL in 1982) and voice acting (Half-life 2). He was around for a while, paling with Dean and McQueen. Not many from the 50's made it into the 2000's.

That's one of my favorite movie scenes ever, especially for anyone who's served and appreciates the dynamic between officer (candidate) and NCO. "I see you've had some training Mayo... urgh..." lmao then ends him with an upkick to the nards and gets him to stay. Absolutely perfect scene.

 
87s a good run. I’ll be stoked if I make it to 77.
