Is this political? They still have "Miss Universe Germany", but this "beauty pageant" is supposed to have an entirely female panel of judges and be about strength of character or something.

Yeah, there's probably enough porn and soft-core social media porn out there catering to folks who are solely interested in looks is beyond over-played at this point.

To spend the time on a pageant and so forth, I don't really object to it being less about eye candy and increased focus on personality traits, accomplishments etc. Of course, outside of looks, the fact that this lady is of Iranian heritage is gonna upset some folks, but it is what it is.
