It's because he somehow doesn't come across as an threateningly hostile, self-important, try-hard dickhead.

The Diaz bros have not been blessed with elocution, civility, foresight, hindsight, or really elite talent. But they come across as sincere and don't seem to be putting on their antics for attention. Often, they will make unintentional mockeries of themselves, all while playing the angry victim card (like Nick rambling about driving his shitty Honda Accord). It's great humor and they come to bang. With that comportment, many sins are forgiven. See Ryan Garcia for the most recent example.
