PlayStation Official Stellar Blade Discussion

Taking my time playing #StellarBalde and I am pleasantly surprised by the game at every turn! I had no idea this was going to have open and explorable areas. The @StellarBlade team at SHIFT UP really put their best foot forward. With these quality games coming from Korea the term “Seoulsborn” should become a thing 😉👍

Edit - If you like the art, consider supporting the artist. Click on the tweets and there's a link to order a print of one of the dozens of art pieces she's made for several franchises.

After playing CP2077 I ordered a print of Panam.

Charcoal artists are so rare, and the artist is from France, and IMO is worthy of the French's millenia-long reputation for creating the world's finest art.

Just started the yesterday and I'm really digging it. Her movement when platforming and jumping around is a little stiffer than I would like it to be but overall it's been a smooth experience.

Quick question, I haven't really noticed but what happens when you die? Do you lose anything? So far it seems like you can just restart from a given location which can take some fun out of it.

So this got a dynamic theme for the PS5 carousel slot? Had no idea. Slick. But my goodness this waxes nostalgic for me re: last-gen themes.

no, you don’t lose anything.

We get themes now!?! I miss my Ghost of Tsushima theme so bad on ps4

Started a NG+ hard mode run. See how things go. Endgame was brutal in normal mode so this could be painful.

Will be worth it though just to rock the NG+ outfit.

She's looking like my girl Skarlet from MK11 in that red.

Woke up at 4:00 AM and played until 8:00 AM. Finished right before the baby woke up.

Absolutely loved the game. Probably my second favorite PS5 game after Returnal. It really exceeded my expectations, especially those last few hours.

What I loved

- Eve and Lily - Lily is probably my favorite character in the game, she's just so dang cute and fun to be around.

- Enemy Design

- Boss Fights

- Great balance of linear and open world

- Perfect length - Game is super well paced and not once did I feel bored. I completed it in about 36 hours and that was doing everything minus fishing and can collecting.

- Combat feels great

What I disliked

- Sometimes the jump feels a bit floaty when doing the platforming sections. I fell off those robots quite a few times.

- Voice acting in certain spots wasn't that good. Although I think some people are being too harsh. I thought Eve sounded good and so did Adam and Lily. It's mostly the NPC quest givers that sound bad.

Critically I'd score it a 9/10 but for me this might be one of those rare games that I give a 10 to because I just enjoyed it so much. To me it just felt like an amazing PS3 title with much better graphics. I want to see more of this type of game in the industry. Looking forward to another playthrough and getting that platinum trophy.

Nice write-up. So is it a two-run Plat at a minimum?
