ONE Championship, betting thread, One FC

Seo Hee Ham is a gift at -165.
Abelardo has definite value at +220
Aoki has value at +350
Lee has value under -200 for sure
Like Belingon at +185.

I have a parlay with Kim, Loman, and Lee.
(and another with just Kim and Lee)
I'm watching Bellator right now, but hopefully those pay off.

EDIT: I guess I can split screen it and watch both haha.

Damn, Lee was rocked bad, and Herb was like "Fuck it, let's see him die". Ate some nasty shots.
And now Lee is taking over. Crazy round.

Line predictions:

Ridder -250
Soldic -400
Folayang -140
Tynanes -250
Zamboanga -200
Brooks -500
Aliakbari -500
Eustaquio EV
Pacatiw -200
Kane -200
Meng EV

Seriously Ridder/Malykhin is a fight where I can see either guy destroying the other. My head tells me Ridder is going to outgrapple him with ease, but if he can't get Malykhin down, Malykhin is going to hurt him.

Reinier de Ridder
The “Dutch Knight” has gained the reputation of being the destroyer of champions. He is the current ONE Light Heavyweight World Champion and ONE Middleweight World Champion. Making his promotional debut in 2019, the 32-year-old has picked up seven wins from seven fights and snagged two world championships en route. His superb grappling game with strong takedowns and judo throws presents a constant submission threat on the mat. De Ridder made his professional mixed martial arts debut in 2013 and reeled off nine consecutive wins, finishing his opponent each time and capturing two European regional titles.

This is the fight right now. I’m fully focused on this one. The only thing I want is to destroy this guy. He’s the next guy to deserve it. And when I do, I would be very content with that. It would feel the same if it’s at heavyweight or light heavyweight. It’s just a guy in front of me.

Anatoly Malykhin
Introduced to wrestling by his grandfather in his youth, Anatoly “Sladkiy” Malykhin won several national medals in free-style wrestling in Russia. His wrestling background served him well when he transitioned to MMA, where he used his fearsome takedowns to overcome more experienced opponents. He joined the ONE championship in 2021 after going 8-0 in regional promotions. In One, he continued to deploy his thunderous takedowns and powerful strikes and gained a lot of success in the promotion. His shot for the interim heavyweight title came on the back of knockouts of former ONE World Title challenger Alexandre Machado and Greco-Roman Wrestling World Champion Amir Aliakbari. For the interim title, he finished Belarusian Kirill Grishenko in the second round to win the gold in February.

It’s a classic matchup. You’ve got a grappler in RDR, and you’ve got a striker-grappler in Anatoly. Anatoly has more ways to win, which is how this fight goes.RDR is a jiu-jitsu specialist. Malykhin is a wrestler who’s falling in love with his hands. Both have got undefeated records. RDR’s stand-up is so sloppy. If Anatoly doesn’t catch him, he’s absolute garbage. So, the pressure’s on both of them to come up with something, but more for Anatoly, in my opinion.

Arjan “Singh” Bhullar (ONE Heavyweight World Champion)

Holy shit at some of the openers and movement on this.

Large plays on ridder at -125 and soldic at -200.

Folayang a dog makes no sense. Hu Yong at +200 may have value.

Can you explain the thought process behind backing de Ridder?

I may be missing some of the technical prowess in his submission grappling but from what I have seen this appears to be a bad stylistic matchup for him?

I just think Ridder is going to be too slick of a grappler for him, find a way to get him down and submit him. I can also easily see Malykhin stuffing him with ease and KO'ing him.

I just happen to believe Ridder is the right side.

To put things into perspective, I feel about as confident in this play as I did in Cain against JDS their first fight ;)

I took Soldic at -200, and feel pretty good about it. It's a bit like Jenkins-Loughnane IMO, where Ramazanov has to keep him down for the whole fight to win. Soldic should dominate standing.

Malykhin's freestyle wrestling background, in conjunction with what should be a pretty big size advantage, doesn't give you any concern?

Malyhkin was almost exclusively a grappler for the first half of his career despite his recent shift to a striking heavy approach.

Wow, definitelly taking Soldic. He can be taken down(against Du Plesis and Kincl) but he's really strong and he can get up and it's hard to count on a win by holding him down the whole fight.

Anyone got any opinions on Dae Sung Park? Tynanes looked pretty shit in his fight with aging and smaller Gafurov and I know he's had a lot of health issues and has been inactive.

Park is a good striker but he fights too emotionally to have sustained success in a matchup like this against an opponent who is going to be fine outpointing him.

Park also doesn't respect what is coming back at him enough which leads to him getting rocked temporarily. The guy can take a lot of punishment and is very tough but its a tune-up fight that Tynanes should win unless he is coming in compromised.
