They are talking about PRIME BJ PENN. He would be a threat to Olivera. He would get in on the inside and and dirty box with Olivera. His grappling was good enough before that it should be a wash when it comes to grappling between them. Olivera isn't a welterweight, so he wouldn't be able to use his weight to burn out a less motivated BJ Penn. It would be a very competitive fight, both can win but to think BJ Penn has no chance is not a proper analysis of that match up. BJ Penn walked through punches and kicks from bigger fighters that hit harder than Olivera.If Bantamweight Frankie Edgar can take him down several times, current Oliveira (not the one who lost to Paul Felder, and other 7 guys) is definitely going to take him down.
Current Oliveira wins this, he improved both his striking and his wrestling a lot, he is a bad match-up for BJ Penn.
