The Health Ministry noted that it would not support any documents weakening Slovakia's position as a sovereign state. I found the comments of the opposition interesting, saying no one should be shot for a political opinion. Obviously I agree with that, as I'm sure we all do here, but when war is involved and your 'political opinions' are causing people to die... I'm not sure it's that clear cut anymore.

Look at Zelensky. Russia have tried to assassinate him multiple times. Israel has assassinated Iranians who aren't even directly at war. Being a politician in war time is no bueno.

In peace, politics should be the safest job out there. In times like these... yeah, you're putting it all on the line, unfortunately, especially with bombastic policy.

Hope he recovers. We need less death and division, not more.

Prime Minister Robert Fico was transported by helicopter to a hospital in Banska Bystrica in central Slovakia where he is being treated for multiple gunshots.

Airlifted to a different hospital. Which is a good sign if it's because he was stabilized enough at the local hospital to be air transported, or a very bad sign that that hospital can't do anything for him and this is a last act of desperation
