These guys are both in prime shape here but
Generally speaking, unattractive people look good in beards
Attractive people look good clean shaven (nothing to hide)
Some look good in both, but not Conor.

His beard is part of his trademark at this point. He has smart people around him who would tell him this.
Therefore the only reason he is doing this is to try and soften his image. If he can make it into the fall, nevermind 2020, without any accusations of rape or assault I will be very impressed.
