Romanian wonder kid Ştefan Lătescu (18 years old) made his heavyweight debut. Golden Boy was previously crowned national boxing champion, and became junior world champion kickboxer (ISKA).

Welterweight Matchup: Eduard Gafencu (12-0, 8 KOs) def. Benjamin Masudi (Hemmers Gym) by unanimous decision

Masudi was knocked down multiple times. Gafencu again landed a stunning tornado kick!

Solid veteran but in my opinion not at the level of Cristian Spetcu and Stavros Exakoustidis. From the Moldovan featherweights I like the young gun Petru Morari. He is tall and technical.

Romanian kickboxing probably done for a couple years now?
 
Tonight’s Colosseum Tournament event is just the latest kickboxing event to be cancelled or postponed by the virus, which is claiming increasing fatalities worldwide. Enfusion, ONE Championship, the Partouche Kickboxing Tour, and Mix Fight Events have all cancelled or postponed events because of the coronavirus outbreak.

The Enfusion event in April is highlighted by a 95 kg title bout between champion Moises Baute of Spain and Giannis Stoforidis of Greece.

Baute makes his first title defense after winning the vacant belt against Mohamed Boubkari last October. Stoforidis has been competing in the +95 weight category as of late but moves down for the title shot against Baute.

Exciting young prospect Nabil Haryouli makes his Enfusion return on April 18 in Darmstadt, Germany. The opponent for Haryouli’s April return is Bogdan Suru, a Romanian fighter and veteran of the Colosseum Tournament organization.

Enfusion Ladies Champion Sarel de Jong and newly-crowned 67 kg titleholder Mohammed Boutasaa are also scheduled to compete in non-title bouts.
