Recent fights/results/news from Thailand

There's also this unwritten rule that they don't want to hurt each others image with a loss.

I think the closest we've gotten to an international Thai vs international Thai match-up was Yodsanklai vs Khem, and it was awesome. It basically restarted Yodsanklai's career as he was fading out before that, came into that fight trim and jacked.
Yeah i remeber the khem v yodsanklai fight. Great fight. Yod came in incredible shape. Probably hasn't ever been as good a shape since. Nong-o v saemapetch was also one of the best fights last year. Other fights like saiyok vs sudsakorn in thai fight were terrible though.

3 fighters from pksaenchai have been put on sale (or put on the trading block for trades with other gyms). the gym explains essentially that it's not personal but business. if the fighers are not ready to fight and/or they are lacking in training discipline, the gym will have to take the proper steps in keeping the business running at a high level.

I really like Yamin. he is quite skilled, doubt this has to do with his fight skills. he must've came back overweight from quarantine or something like that.

he just posted on his facebook page an hour ago to address this sale saying that he has been dealing with chronic knee pain. (implied potential retirement)

shit this would be a shame. doubt he will actually retire but chronic knee shit is a serious derailment.

edit: chang muaythai kiatpetch super fight looking to return on sunday july 12th.

i also don't think his post was very well received by pk management...we will see what happens next.
Shows how much they care about fighters. They are just annoyed they won't be able to sell him now. They probably don't want to pay for an operation that would actually fix his knee. Instead expect him to keep training so he is crippled in later life. Camps always try to blame it on the fighter being lazy.

always two sides to a story and a lot of the fighters are lazy. I doubt it has much to do with his knee.

Im sure there are plenty of lazy fighters. Yamin didn't seem like one though. They could always pay to get his knee checked by a specialist to see if he is lying.

Might make him easier to sell if there is nothing wrong with his knee.

On a live chat on one of the Thai facebook

12th of July

saw it in a post earlier in the day. july 12th makes much more sense the way things are going.

also, there's some drama now with boat petchyindee in the last day or so.

yeh thats been going on a few days now, there was rumours going about that Raja were going to get rid of a few promoters, Raja came out with a statement denying and then yesterday one of the Lumpini promoters said it was true and then Boat himself came out and said they were going to stop him being a promoter there.

i like his response of ok fine, kick me out but give me back all the money and gold that i've given.

There was a Facebook live a day or two ago from one of the main Muaythai journalists here, he said the issue was about him not going back to train when wanted, the gym brought his contract for a certain amount and wanted a fair bit more to sell it back on. That was the biggest issue with Yamin from what I could make out, I have also heard rumours of another big name gym wanting to buy his contract, so again, I really don't think the knee is an issue, but more a reaction from Yamin to them announcing he was for sale and the price expected to buy out his contract.

i personally think that yamin is distracted with the long layoff and wanting to spend more time at home with his young family, but again, this is just my opinion. i think it was @Mickf who made a very good point a while back about the shutdown: a lot of these guys' lives revolve around the cycle of training and fighting...the time off gave them time to pursue other interests and think about life outside of muay.
