Media Rewatch: Ten years ago, Jon Jones dominated prime Glover Teixeira

Corey Anderson, Phil Davis and Rumble all beat prime Glover way easier than Jones did.

People forget how much shit Glovers fans talked in the run up to that fight.

Robbed Phil Davis of a title shot tbh. Really bothered me at the time.

LHW is still a very fun division, but it's obvious that the talent has regressed badly. Jan becoming champ. Glover becoming champ. Both of these were lower top 10 in their prime. Prime Jiri would have likely been a fringe top 10 guy 10 years ago if even that. Pereira would have been lethal and based on power and striking technique alone, he could be dangerous, but he would probably have been exposed by Jones/DC. Gus vs Pereira would have been cool - Gus was always a bit chinny but his wrestling underrated, might have been similar to Gus vs Jan.

Glover reached his prime before he even got to the UFC

In 35 years of watching boxing and MMA, Jones is the best fighter I think I've ever seen, and I can't stand him, juice or no. He physically and mentally adapted to everybody except those two dudes at the end.
