clearly, rose was doing SO much better than andrade... i wont say she got lucky or rose got caught, it was more of a rose being stupid, or did the technique wrong kind of thing, but she was outclassing andrade. rose is bad styles matchup if she can work on her grappling and tighten it up, cause it seems andrade will be taking her down at least one time again....

im not sure why she is such a small favorite? can anyone try justifying this?

is this the gift of the year for betting odds? i was expecting a -300 or so on her...

I like the fact she is no longer the champ. She was burned out from all the pressure and was more relieved than disappointed after the lost. We should see a rejuvenated Rose. She should win this. Also like it’s the 3rd fight on the main card.

I would have to rewatch the fight but by memory I think she was doing better and landing more strikes than Andrade but as Andrade showed, she was never out of the fight or that far behind. I don't remember any 10-8 rounds in favor of Rose. So I wouldn't cap her at -300. I think Andrade is stronger and hits harder than Rose too

The only completed round was the first, and that was almost a dictionary definition of a 10-8; non-stop domination, heavy strike damage, and Andrade failing to land anything herself, nevermind Rose very nearly pulling off a submission.

There is a reason why Rose was a -500 live betting favorite after round 1 despite being a small underdog (+130) beforehand.

Whether that indicates Rose should be a -160 or not for the rematch is a different matter, but you're misremembering the fight.

In a 3 round fight I think Rose should win. I was big on Andrade in their first fight, but those extra 2 rounds are important for a grinder like Andrade who can easily lose the first two rounds.

If Andrade chin isn't shot she should be able to wear Rose down in the third and hurt her. I can just see Rose winning a 2-1 fight where she clearly loses the 3rd round.

Rose is a wildcard. It's hard to just rely on her to survive in a fire fight when we have seen her lose twice now in tough fights. Joanna really is an incredible matchup for Rose. She is a point fighter so the lack of aggression really helps Rose. That's why I think she is only a -160.

I really like Rose but just to be devils advocate here... she lost for a reason. The reason she lost is just the sheer physicality of Andrade.

Who is to say Andrade can't just do the same thing. I mean not a slam KO but get her hands on Rose and manhandle her?

I like both of these fighters but it is hard to bet against Andrade.

I would also add that Rose seems to be in her own head a bit and have some mental issues. She talked about it a bit on JRE. I think rematching someone that just slam KOd you brings some mental struggles on its own. Its like riding a motorcycle after a really bad crash.
