International Russia/Ukraine Megathread V15

It will be difficult seriously damage this bridge.
Fundaments are very solid and they now are protecting this bridge like in mad mode.

Ukr once managed to snake in large truck loaded with explosives and ....still russians managed to repair relatively quickly.

Against naval drones they too had installed protective measures and even are using some old ships as barrier for bridge fundaments.

While there are a lot of other valuable targets for these missiles.

That's why I laugh at the "peace brigade" who always calls for "negotiations" with Putin as if he can be trusted in any way, shape or form.
Yeah. 2010 th when asked to gave discounts for natural gas supplies for Crimea he told : Crimea is Ukraine, why we should gave discount to foreign country?
BTW then Ukr had pro Kremlin oriented gov and president. Didn't helped.

ATACMS not enough IMO.

For fundaments definitely not enough. 0 questions here. While surface it might damage decently. Problem is that they will replace one section of surface for auto road in 1 -2 weeks. Reinforced concrete panel sections and other stuff for auto road.

Don't even think it can accurately hit the base.

An somehow it will be Biden's fault that gas prices increase at the pump. Do people realize this will come under control when Saudi Arabia an the Russian defeat comes to be. Russian people will soon be feeling it an pro Russian trolls stop flooding my Facebook lol. There's a war going on dumb people.

Pylons? Maybe might however too small warhead effect.
Maybe dozen of SCUDS with monoblock warhead might do more Job IF will land properly. In best case.

The trailer park trash is to thank for why it took 6 months longer then it had too. MAGA is to thank why Europe will accelerate developing their own weapon systems. That means job losses in Southern states.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden’s long, painful battle with Republicans in Congress to secure urgently needed assistance for Ukraine will end Wednesday when he signs into law a $95 billion war aid measure that also includes support for Israel, Taiwan and other allies.
But significant damage has been done to the Biden administration’s effort to help Ukraine repel Russia’s brutal invasion during the funding impasse that dates back to August, when the Democratic president made his first emergency spending request for Ukraine aid. Even with a burst of new weapons and ammunition, it is unlikely Ukraine will immediately recover after months of setbacks.
Biden is expected to quickly approve the transfer of an initial aid package of about $1 billion in military assistance — the first tranche from about $61 billion allocated for Ukraine, according to U.S. officials. It is expected to include air defense capabilities, artillery rounds, armored vehicles and other weapons to shore up Ukrainian forces who have seen morale sink as Russian President Vladimir Putin has racked up win after win."

It's just in time I think,Russia has taken a little ground, but no major breakthroughs, they wanted to go all in on Kharkiv but if they don't in the next fortnight Ukraine will have enough to hold . The missiles will make a difference as well, maybe the bridge in Crimea goes and more infrastructure in Russia putting financial strain back on Putin.

Bridges are notoriously hard to take out. In the Vietnam war, the US took years and years to take out a key bridge despite them having a huge advantage in firepower and air superiority.

Probably long since covered here, but...

Ukraine has begun using long-range ballistic missiles secretly provided by the US against invading Russian forces, American officials have confirmed.
The weapons were part of a $300m (£240m) aid package approved by US President Joe Biden in March and they arrived this month.
They have already been used at least once to strike Russian targets in occupied Crimea, US media report.
Mr Biden has now signed a new $61bn package of aid for Ukraine.
The US previously supplied Ukraine with a mid-range version of the Army Tactical Missile Systems (ATACMS) but had been reluctant to send anything more powerful, partly over concerns about compromising US military readiness.
However, Mr Biden is said to have secretly given the green light to send the long-range system - which can fire missiles distances of up to 300km (186 miles) - in February.
"I can confirm that the United States provided Ukraine with long-range ATACMS at the president's direct direction," state department spokesman Vedant Patel said.
The US "did not announce this at the onset in order to maintain operational security for Ukraine at their request", he added.
It is not clear how many of the weapons have already been sent, but US National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said Washington planned to send more.
"They will make a difference. But as I've said before at this podium... there is no silver bullet," he said.
The longer-range missiles were used for the first time last week to strike a Russian airfield in occupied Crimea, Reuters news agency quoted an unnamed US official as saying.
And the new missiles were also used in an attack on Russian troops in the occupied port city of Berdyansk overnight on Tuesday, according to the New York Times.
Recent months have seen Kyiv step up its calls for Western assistance as its stocks of ammunition are depleted and Russia makes steady gains.
The new aid package follows months of gridlock amid opposition to the aid from some in Congress.
"It's going to make America safer, it's going to make the world safer," Mr Biden said after signing it into law.
Reacting to the package, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said: "Now we will do everything to make up for half a year spent in debates and doubts.
"What the Russian occupier was able to do during this time, what Putin is now planning, we must turn against him."
Mr Zelensky recently warned that a Russian offensive was expected in the coming weeks after Ukraine's loss of the city of Avdiivka during the winter.
Ukrainian forces have suffered from a shortage of ammunition and air defence systems in recent months and officials have blamed delays in military aid from the US and other Western allies for the loss of lives and territory.
Mr Sullivan said on Wednesday it was "certainly possible that Russia could make additional tactical gains in the coming weeks".
Since Russia invaded Ukraine on 24 February 2022, tens of thousands of people, most of them soldiers, have been killed or injured on both sides and millions of people have fled their homes.

Suck it, invaders!

This is eastern European way to disconnect themselves from Russia.

They actually aren't Eastern europeans, especially cos character, religions, culture and mindset.
Actual long term plan is to change all railroads to Western Euro stuff. Ofc this will require damn a lot of money and time.

Yes but precision weapons make it much easier.

ATACMS have an accuracy of 30 feet. That's not a guarantee then that it will hit the base of the bridge or the thinner top cap.

Have to remember these ATACMS are also expensive and Ukraine will only get a handful.
