I would hope it's all in fun. It's more community recognition imo. I guess bragging rights are inherent but I think generating more participation and activity in almost any way is a good thing.

I’ve also just enjoyed it because it’s always around Christmas time and it’s a nice way for posters to set aside their arguments about the scoring of GSP vs Hendricks for 5 minutes and say something nice.
