I think my only contribution to the never-ending Thread about Rippetoe was posting a video in which he trashes the Trap Bar. And I mean, "trashes" in the literal sense: the thumbnail shows the TB sticking out of a dumpster.
I pointed out the stupidity of this; pro athletes, people serving in the Military and average gym bros have all used the Trap Bar to get significantly stronger. And avoid injuries while doing so. Just because Rippetoe doesn't like a piece of equipment doesn't mean it's bad.
Yeah, I couldn't really give a toss; I'm not a powerlifter and have no intentions of competing in powerlifting, so for me, I have no problem using the trapbar, even if it's looked down upon by others. I will cycle deadlift using a regular bar in every so often, but for the limited space I have in the garage, trapbar is much more convenient.
What are you doing for your neck?
It feels better on back is plenty enough reason to tell everyone who whines to suck it. Love the sound of the iron church bells, you had them in rhythmYeah, I couldn't really give a toss; I'm not a powerlifter and have no intentions of competing in powerlifting, so for me, I have no problem using the trapbar, even if it's looked down upon by others.
