Opinion This is an interesting a theoretical breakdown if US had a divorce between states.

This is enough to trigger people on both sides with democrats and Republicans have issues on both sides here is the breakdown. He even had ChatGPT do an analyses of what states value freedom more red states or blue states and ChatGPT gave the most political protected answer period. Pretty reasonable breakdown I expected it to go off the rails but he did reasonable breakdown why a US divorce is not a good idea though red states are more dependent on Government then Blue State and he provides data to back this up but shows how in terms of land area the Red states have much more land area but blue states have upto 7 times the population density and democrats have a greater population voting then Republicans making the case that equal representation does not seem to work.

Why, though? Or rather why is that a bad thing?

America is pretty divided, half the country longs to slave for corporate overlords. Why not just let them live that life while the other half joins the civilized western world with fair wages and health care? Pretty sure it would distill itself into the North/South Korea model.

On another note, but still on topic, there's something I've been wanting to point out for a while but never got around to:

The majority of conservative voters vote against their own interests. One thing the GOP does extremely well and much better than the democrats is campaigning. They relay simple messages that folks in red states rally behind and get their vote. The objective of this campaign strategy is simple: dog whistle to the racists, engage the conspiracy theorists, entertain the fringe, court the religious, and amplify the idea that America's culture is being stolen. The objective of the party however is also simple but completely different: cater to the ultra wealthy and the corporations by lowering taxes, de-regulating, etc. Naturally the people in that second group is relatively small, which is why the campaign strategy is mostly catering to the first group.

The culture/race woke agendas wars are simply a distraction for what politicians really want to achieve- make themselves and their friends as wealthy and powerful as possible.

What makes me angry about Democrats is they could easily convey this message in their campaigns but they don't put in the time or effort to do so.. which leads me to believe they are also in on it...

I'm with it. If democrats want gun bans, higher taxes, and more "free" stuff, go for it. They'll all be broke within 24 hours just like California. As a standalone country, California would be broke in about 10 minutes. It's already broke. Combine all of these marxist hellholes and let them fight for scraps. Let the people interested in personal accountability and self governance do their thing too. We'll see how well that works out for everybody. Red states almost always operate under a surplus. Blue states always operate at a deficit and depend on federal funds.

Socialism always fails because the end goal is always communism, which also always fails. The problem with those systems is that eventually you run out of other people's money.

I felt the same way about covid vaccine mandates. Our government jumped the shark

If seceding means protecting me from authoritarian fascists that expect me to remain obedient and docile so giant corporations can make record profits at the expense of me and my families health, then sayonara bitches.

If you have a problem with that, well then you know what to do

I can only speak for where I live, NY which is a solid blue state.

In the past few years, the Democratic led government has
  • Provided the means to attend college for free
  • Provided grants to non profit groups who have workforce development programs with the objective of training and placing minorities, poorly educated, formerly incarcerated individuals into jobs (I run one of these training programs)
  • Gradually raised the minimum wage state-wide
  • Provided funding to upstart manufacturing companies that will make the public transportation system fully electric- on top of that the state has provided the training needed for working in these manufacturing companies. No previous experience needed- the jobs are there so they will train anyone to do the job
  • Legalized recreational marijuana state wide. On top of that, applicants for recreational cannabis licenses who previously had been incarcerated for the sale of marijuana (an overwhelming majority of which are minorities) were given preference- not big companies who had already been selling and distributing it for medical purposes for years.
I'd say the democratic party supporting minorities are getting at least some of their vote's worth.
