Shannon Gugerty fought on UFC 100 ffs. Fitch was on the main card.

200 was ravaged by injuries and Miesha Tate was the main event.

They can easily equal 100 and 200. What OP is asking for with main event level fights from top to bottom and world title fights on the prelims os too much though. If this is the level of fan expectation the the UFC is never going to be able to match it.

Good point, on the flip side Jones was on the undercard. 200 was a shit show and they fixed it with last minute matchups, but originally they were doing Conor/Nate or Jones/DC.

I just feel like they need a big main event to get hype ready. Jones/ Ngannou is probably the only one that would set this forum on fire. The next one would be Khamzat/Izzy or Izzy/Pereira 3.

He was but Jones wasn't really a star then. It was only his 3rd fight in the UFC. He was 2-0 in the organisation with both fights going to the decision.

Go back far enough and you'll see a lot of main eventers started on the prelims, this is just a case of that. Jones wasn't a main eventer being placed low on the card because of how stacked it was. He was a prelims guy fighting on the prelims.
