International Tucker Carlson in Russia to interview Vladimir Putin UPDATE - Also Dugin

I've never listened to Tucker Carlson (This will be my first). I don't watch any mainstream news. Idc who interviewed Putin, it's good hearing both sides in any conflict.
This is basically listening to one side. How often was Putin checked on his narrative?

First question he is asked why he invaded Ukraine. And his reason for invading Ukraine is a looooooong drawn out mish mash of:

20 minutes in… “eh… Ukraine was never their own country to begin with”.

25 minutes in…. “eh,….. Ukraine belonged to Russia anyways”.

30 minutes in… “eh… their land never belonged to them and Hungary should be able to reclaim parts of Ukraine also”.

I think we are seeing the problem here from the beginning .
You clearly have zero understanding on why he’s given this history lecture without notes or teleprompter.

First, to show his mind is sharp and clear and he’s not a crazy lunatic like the West portrayed him to be.

Secondiy, he emphasizes the historic significance of the current events so that people can understand it’s not black and white, “he just wants a land grab”.

Overall, the interview went as good as possible for Putin, he didn’t concede anything, but offered a way to start peace talks. Brilliant diplomacy as always.

It was actually a pretty good interview, no particularly hard questions but he did ask about the American journalist.
Tucker wasn't defending Putin as some expected. He didn't talk at all about American internal politics.
He did ask if a change in administration would change anything but Putin said no.
Putin repeated the same points he always do about history and foreign influence over Ukraine which he considers to be part of Russia.
There isn't much to counter here, they both came from the Rus but developed a separate identity throughout the centuries, if they are a separate people or not is subjective but invading a country to annex it is against international law, regardless if they're the same people.
Putin was clear he doesn't care about international law and cited Serbia and NATO bombing of it.

Maybe there are some details to unpack but all in all, good interview but nothing new.

when i'm not trolling i'm skeptical of right wing media. left and right they all tend to be full of shit. it's just the mainstream narrative is so offensively garbage and the NPCs fall for it every time...and lecture everyone else about it.

blm
masks
vaccines
ukraine
pussy hats

all of these were fucking grifts or an abuse of power and these chuds fall in line every time.

this doesn't exist on the right both in numbers and in intensity. and before any of you get cute and post trump NFTs and a slobbering j6'er, that's not even comparable.

So funny that people could be offended and outraged by this.
Politics, media personalities, world leaders and despots, both foreign and domestic. it’s your reality. You created it, now deal with it.

Of course it went as well as possible for him...<Prem973>

Trust me, Tucker is pretty happy with it as well. You can’t call this a sugar coated interview, he asked all the right questions about the war plus touched the imprisoned journalist matter

Serbia was committing genocide though right? Of course a change in administration would change things but on our end defending Ukraine's sovereignty. If they weren't their own nation then why didn't Russia maintain them when they went bankrupt during the Cold War? Maybe there's some type of claim they could make over Crimea but again why wasn't this brought up up when the USSR fell? Russia welcomed the West to rebound and now that they have recovered they think they deserve to lord over their old satellite States.

The interview went for over 2 hours, the history part was first 20 minutes. You sure you watched it all ?
You need to start off strong, like in Goodfellas and Casino, so the audience is invested and their attention doesn't peter out.

I detect some lies of omission from putin, I cant put my finger on it first time around, but one thing for sure is that the guy is intelligent, and well experienced in political matters.

just shows, that Putin comes to prepared, a lot of folks already know this, Tucker has said it himself publicly, nothing "cooking" about it.
Who would have guessed the kgb goon that kills people over nothing would clown a guy like tucker. Dude has no respect for him other than being an useful idiot
