Am I missing something about Bo Nickal? Why are they pushing him so hard? I don't really follow MMA social media, so I may not be in the know on something obvious.

ufc 300 will be a miss, because all the hype surrounding most fighters is gone.

ufc was extremely exciting these past few years (especially during covid) because everyone wanted to know who the best fighters were.

since 2018, we've had so many fights between top fighters and we roughly know who is left standing.
in my opinion, there are 4 hyped fighters left:

- islam makhachev (maybe arman tsarukyan)
- shavkat rakhmonov (maybe leon edwards)
- alex pereira (maybe magomed ankalaev)
- jon jones (maybe tom aspinall)

list of hype that died:

- khabib retired
- mcgregor is basically retired / washed up / exposed by khabib
- tony ferguson is absolutely washed up / should retire
- dustin porier and justin gaethje exposed by charles oliveira
- charles oliveira exposed by islam makhachev
- alexander volkanovski exposed by islam makhachev
- sergei pavlovich exposed by tom aspinall
- ciryl gane exposed by jon jones
- stipe miocic is basically retired / old / exposed by ngannou
- ngannou left ufc / approaching 40
- jiri prochazka exposed by alex pereira
- israel adesanya basically retired / exposed by alex pereira
- jan blachowicz exposed by old glover texeira and alex pereira
- magomed ankalaev keeps breaking mma rules and fighting dirty
- sean strickland exposed by alex pereira
- khamzat chimaev exposed by 12-days-notice usman
- usman exposed by leon edwards... twice
- aljamain sterling and petr yan expoed by sean o'malley
- sean o'malley is a mcgregor copycat
- no one cares about 125 lb flyweights

It's gonna be a stinker. McGregor is one loss from being irrelevant. The man of God, Jon Jones, is on the shelf from living too clean of a lifestyle. Stipe is 72 years old and hasn't fought in 10 years. Tony Son of Fergu still wants to fight.

Worst big card in recent memory.

It'll be shit, the ufc know ppl wil buy it because its 300 and put on a shit card

can't imagine what in the world they'd fill it up with.

I think it will be on par for the trend. Every "100" gets worse. UFC 100>200>300.

I'm not expecting it to blow my mind, I think it will be a good card when its done but it won't be special

Just curious what people think a hit would be?

and none of the fantasy bullshit that has no chance of happening. Theres only so many fighters not booked, not hurt, able to fight so yeah.

Conor/Chandler with two or three title fights, maybe Dustin/Nate, stack the prelims with good ranked fighters, dont really know what else you could ask for.

Lets say its this

Conor/Chandler
Aspinall/Alex interim HW
Leon/Belal WW
Zhang/Yan WSW
Dustin/Nate

Prelims
Max/Emmett
Sterling/Kattar
Jiri/Rakic
BSD/Turner

Early Prelims
Figgy/Cody
Holm/Tate 2
Jim Miller/Tony
Bo/Brundage

It’ll be a hit but it’s not gonna be as good as it should be.

I lean towards miss honestly but maybe it won't be too bad. I just can't have that much confidence considering the recent big fights that AREN'T on 300 and the track record of the UFC's quality decline

It could be epic if they get the likes of GSP, Diaz, or Brock Lesnar to fight.

Otherwise, given the fights they've announced so far it will be just another PPV.

Hit, if this is the main event.

most likely Conor vs Chandlert
That would show some integrity from Conor and from Dana.

Chandler earned it. Conor should step up & prove he's still relevant in MMA.
