I don't like the all-time debates anymore than I like the P4P debates. It's hard to compare athletes of different eras. The current era built upon what the previous eras established. Those past athletes were a product of their era and eras previous to them. They got to where they were by utilizing the best of the training and coaching of that time. You can't just pluck them from that era and plug them into the current era because they wouldn't be the same athlete in today's environment. They'd have different tools available to them and they would develop differently.
