So there are a lot of dudes in UFC's Featherweight division right now who are pretty scary on the mat. The ones I have in mind for this little experiment:
  • Brian Ortega
  • Ryan Hall
  • Kron Gracie
  • Bryce Mitchell
  • Herbert Burns
  • Chase Hooper
Say we took all of these fighters and put them in a Round-Robin tournament. Each individual match has the following format:
  • Round 1: 10-minute round of no-gi submission grappling (ADCC Professional Rules)
  • Round 2: 5-minute round of MMA (Unified Rules)
  • Round 3: 10-minute round of gi submission grappling (IBJJF/NAGA Adult Black Belt Rules)
  • Round 4: 5-minute round of MMA (Unified Rules)
  • Round 5: 10-minute round of Combat Jiu-Jitsu
...with a rest period between each round. If a fighter is finished by (T)KO or submission in any of the rounds, the match stops there and is awarded to them in its entirety. Otherwise, the result goes by points and the match continues. In the event of a tie (i.e. equal number of matches won) at the conclusion of the tournament, the winner is determined by number of finishes followed by total number of rounds won.

The tournament takes place over a lengthy period of time so that each contestant only has one match on any given day at most. Who comes out on top?
