It's limited to 50 or whatever the number is, within any given 24 hr period, not per day, so it isn't starting and ending at the beginnimg and end of the day, it's a constant rolling limit.

Meaning if you liked 40 things last night at 7pm, and liked 10 today, you are still at the limit from last night, until the time today that you made those likes yesterday, which is 7p in my example.
