UFC on ESPN 3 Ngannou vs Dos Santos

Vick? Do you mean Martin?

As for "Half the Battle", do you recommend giving them a listen? I have been wildly underwhelmed by every MMA gambling-centric podcast I've listened up until now.
Diary of a Pro Gambler on YouTube is worth a watch. He rambles on a lot but studys the fights highly and is easily the best one out there.

His picks have been terrible lately... Not as bad as MMA lock of the night but not good.

I'm having big doubts about Alonzo, basically assuming he lands a bomb early and that's it. It's a possibility for sure, but if that doenst happen then what? Craig shoots over and over now, his wrestling and grappling have improved a lot and Alonzo is basically un tested and will gas quickly

I'm with you here. I don't think its as much of Craig shooting because it will deplete him trying to get Alonzo to the ground but I do think Craig's chin could hold up if he doesn't get hit squarely and, if he gets out of round one, he will sub Menifield. He could also sub him if/when he gets knocked to the ground and gets rushed in on. I don't think the odds are giving enough respect to his ground game off his back. I can easily see a triangle choke handing Menifield his first humbling in the UFC.

I would consider Crute to have much better wrestling, grappling and BJJ than Alonzo (As far as we know) and Craig managed to get him to the ground several times. Crute did a good job of reversing or escaping those positions. I'm not sure Alonzo will be able to do the same.. Saying that the way Craig goes for takedowns is dangerous, he goes in very low and often gets stalled on his knees and ends up taking some big elbows to the side of his head for his efforts.

I've put a little on Craig round 2 and round 3 but I will be confident placing more live after round 1

Really think JDS's jab to the body and recently added calf kick will be his undoing. Francis is a tremendous counter puncher and obviously hits like a Ford Escort.

I was too big on Craig against a sub-UFC caliber opponent in Kenedy. Trust me, you'll be sweating buckets the entire fight against a guy like Alonzo. I think he simply tanks through anything Craig tries and KOs him.

Way past the sweating buckets part of a 5:1 bet these days brother.

I don't mind that +700 2nd round finnish prop at all. But I also think there is some value at +600 for JDS by decision. Most likely Ngannou takes his head off within the first couple of minutes, but if JDS survives the early minutes, do we really know what Ngannou will look like?

(and don't forget Ngannou has been working with Dewey Cooper before this fight, that can never be good)

But he was working with essentially no one prior to Dewey.

Paul Craig is one of the most pathetic fighters I have ever seen in the UFC. His fights piss me the fuck off. He is SO BAD lol. The dude shoos horrific takedowns, pulls guard, is slow, gets tired early, doesn’t have a great chin & he falls all over the place when he is throwing strikes. Even his best asset which is his Jiu Jitsu isn’t on some fucking crazy level lmao.

I will lose my fucking mind if he pulls some bullshit sub again especially against another Fortis fighter.

Sayif Saud might jump in and finish the choke to death if Alonzo loses.

Ngannou is not going to look like he did against Stipe. He's much much leaner now. His cardio is obviously improved. He's on a mission and DC doesn't want shit to do with that mission. Stipe/Ngannou rematch for the belt after Stipe either beats DC or DC retires.

Completely agree. Paul Craig is fucked. Any narrative re Alonzo getting tired or hopeless on the ground means nothing, and are actually quite wrong imo. Craig won't have the strength to overcome Alonzo resistance in a TD attempt. I think there's more of a case to make that Craig gasses before Alonzo does.

I don't see anyone in this thread saying that Craig is going to try and take Alonzo down. I've said he weathers the storm and subs Alonzo as he moves in for the kill. Its obviously +500 for a reason.
