Not only is this a miserable card for watching, it's miserable for betting. Taped Minner-Griffin 2, but it was canceled. Taped Avila-Mazany, liked Avila at -400 but wanted even better but ultimately passed. Taped Calvillo-Eye, and while I cap Calvillo at -150, I hate the weigh-ins. So I'm left with just
1.6u on Agapova-Cifers GTD at -135
Added 1.5u on Fili at +100 after round 1
0.5u on Rosa at +305 after round 1
So +3u from live-bets and +1.4u overall for the night.
Severely regret not hitting that Rosa line much, much harder. Had I gone 2u deep, this turns into a +6u night instead of the modest +1.4u it was.
Also I overthought the main event. I capped Calvillo as at least a -150, thinking she was roughly equal in the striking and had a big grappling edge. However, I got a little greedy, wanting plus numbers, and also wanted to watch the weigh-ins, since I thought there would be a big size disparity.
Well, there was a huge size disparity alright. Eye absolutely dwarfed Calvillo, and was at least 10 pounds heavier come fight night.
However, it didn't matter, since Eye's grappling was such trash. Should have thrown at least 2u on Calvillo when she was evens. Ugh.
Oh well, a win is a win on a garbage card, both in terms of fight quality as well as gambling. Very excited about next weekend.
