But the fact that the Ultra are not available anymore suggest you are not the only one with that problem...just guessing.

In terms of the padding and the wrist support, how do they compare to the Tokushu? Do they feel just the same (albeit with different lining/thumb)?
Cheers for the detailed answer, lol at the Goldie part. I actually liked the feel of the Tokushu lining, I don't mind the heat or sweat except that the sweat would always soak into it and it would be very hard to prevent them from developing an odour eventually. Tokushu's thumb always bothered me but I found them as protective as I could ever need; I'm a similar weight to you. Sound like v good gloves.words

About them feeling like IMF, when you form a fist, is the striking surface more rounded than in the Tokushu then or the same?
As for the wrinkles that are just cosmetic, and truthfully the toughest most durable leather is full grain, and it will show the most imperfections, smooth finished leathers which are what most people like are weaker as they have to shave off layers of the leather to make it smooth and remove the imperfections.
The funniest thing I read in reviews are people gauging the quality of leather based on smell when they first open the package if the glove was sent out fresh after being made the leather will be the last thing you smell when you open that bag. Just think of all the glues holding the foams together, the dyes in the leather for all the unusual colours you want, all curing in a bag while it's being shipped to you and the chemicals can't escape until you open the bag for the first time.
Inquiring minds want to know... What is the one pair of gloves you've been using for two years?I have one pair of gloves I've been using for two years now; I have a collection of gloves from other brands, but that is just because im in the business. Im sure if I stopped my business tomorrow id have garbage bags of gear to throw out or put on eBay. lol
It's hard to find the balance in softness for bag gloves, too soft they bottom out and you feel the bag on your knuckles. too hard, and you might as well be punching the bag without the padding. Obviously, those are both extremes that result in your hands getting hurt.
