I only watch this performance maybe 2 days a year to keep it fresh/"special"(I say "days" because I end up watching the full performance/solo itself multiple times). Here we are 11 years down the road, and it's still so good. I've always loved the camera work that showed Prince..but in a way he's an "afterthought" before the solo. Then during the solo you see everyone on stage smiling/"marking out" to his performance, and it shows the level he was at playing/showmanship wise.
