Where does Yoel Romero rank in MW History?

Bro come on. He got knocked the fuck out and cheated to get an extra minute on the stool while Kennedy was off celebrating.
Bullshit, he was told by ufc officials to stay on the stool because the idiot ufc cutmen put too much vaseline on his face

Who is the UFC official?

It's still cheating. The extra vaseline was cheating.

Skillwise he might be #2 after Silva. He arguably beat Izzy while 43 years old. He made his UFC debut 10 days before turning 36 and was 40 when he got his first title shot. Imagine if he entered the UFC at 26.
Skillwise #2 is clearly Izzy. If you think Romero is more skilled than Izzy just because he potentially outpointed him in a total nothing fight, then I don't know what to tell you. That would be like thinking Derrick Lewis is a better fighter than Ngannou, or that Esparza is actually better than Rose Namajunas.

Romero isn't #3 either, that would be Whittaker in terms of skill. Whittaker gave Izzy a genuinely close fight in their rematch and has been consistently beating contenders (such as Romero himself) while clearly being much smaller and weaker than them.

Its not cheating if it wasnt put by Romero or someone in his team. If someone cheated, it was the UFC via their hired cutmen.

He wasnt allowed to go out without wiping the vaseline off, even if he wanted to. How is that shit his fault?

Romero is such a weird case. Beat so many good fighters at MW. Really fought a weird pace to keep cardio. Also made some questionable fight IQ moves. Also started at a late age. He had the skills to be unbeatable but just did enough to not reach the top.

I get the reasons why people want to rank him so high, but also he was given 3 title shots and couldn't find a way to come out on top each time for whatever reason. So you have to rank him under most MW champs as much as he probably is better on paper.

The fight should have been called. What you're referring to is Kennedy getting a stiff warning from the ref vs. Yoel basically getting finished and then getting an entire extra minute on the stool to recover. Come on man.
So in the mind of people like you Kennedy getting his only damage of the fight off of a foul is fine. But Yoel getting extra time to recover from the foul because UFC officials screwed up is egregious cheating. Make it make sense.

Like Jacare, he was always wrong place, wrong time to be champion. Weidman was the opposite although I'd rank Romero as the better fighter.

It's still bullshit how Bisping ducked him for two straight fights when he was the clearcut number one contender. And it's not like he was Belal either, fans WANTED to see him fight Bisping.
Bisping wanted none of Romero having two eyes, let alone fighting that beast with just one eye left

Better question: DOES he rank in MW history.

Honestly, if you go back and highlight the very best in MW history, or at least those that created historical moments, is Yoel even on the radar?
