Why the 1 lb allowance for BMF fight?

1kg would be too much, a pound is less than half that, Im fine.

Meanwhile I heard GSP missed weight and kept his belt, in Abu Dhabi Islam and Khabib didn't have to make weight. Then we have DC who grabbed the towel to make weight and kept his belt which is ridiculous.

My son started wrestling last year and under USA wrestling, competitors age 5 and up have to make the weight they signed up for. They weigh in 0.1 lbs over, they don't wrestle.
