Are you talking lyrically or musically? Either way, you're wrong.
Off the top of my head, I'd definitely say at least half of Nick Cave's songs are darker lyrically.
Musically, Threnody for the Victims of Hiroshima makes most metal sound like lullabies for children.
Portal is about as dark as it gets...
This one is pretty dark, and not just trying to be shocking for the sake of it.
Off the top of my head
I still remember Elmo singing that on Sesame Street
So many unaware that song exists, talk about powerful, there it is.
As dark as a 13 year old screaming he doesnty want to clean his room.
Show me darker.
like... every other (ie: half) black metal band, for starters? and like 10% of all grindcore songs...
ffs, even slayer had songs about ed gein and josef mengele.
Every other? i.e half?
CC aren't Black Metal, not even half... do you even know anything about it?
You also havnt really shown me anything, you're just saying it's darker.
Even so, I really don't care tbh. Extreme metal isn't my thing these days.
I just wanted to show ts that he was plain wrong about MM being dark af.
If you want to sit around and argue about it, be my guest. I don't have a dog in this.
