You know those adverts that you get beneath videos? Ones that read something like this...

"Play games for £4.50 a month"
"Free music for £4.50 a month"
"Hot chicks for £4.50 a month"

These bastard things shouldn't be legal. All you have to do to subscribe to them is to click on the advert once, something that can easily be done by mistake, especially on touch screen.

I just had a webchat with my phone service provider, who gave me an e-mail address and an e-mail template, as well as capping my service upon request, requesting the service to be stopped and to get a refund.

What's worse is that they charge your phone bill, so you won't see it until it's too late.

I may boycott YouTube over this. It's a mainstream website that everybody uses, shit like this shouldn't be on it.

Don't forget the ghey frogs!

Never seen that, but that sounds despicable.

It's literally right below the video, so you could end up clicking it as you are scrolling down.

There's all sorts, even ads for MMA and football, but it's the same scam. Click on the site (even by accident or touchscreen problem) and get charged, weekly, without even the option of subscribing.

Abhorrent.

You seem to be based in the UK. It's possible these types of ads are illegal in the US or just aren't running here for whatever reason. I've never really had much trouble with YouTube ads. The biggest problem is having to get up when I'm lying down and watching and there's some extremely long ad.

Never seen that ever.

They definitely wouldn't get away with that in the states, charging you automatic at after one click. Youd have to confirm it, at least in my experience

Literally none of that happened.

Some people complain about ads on YouTube. I've never seen any.

Pay for a YouTube membership.

Also stop downloading porn on your computer.

You sound like an old person who doesn't understand technology enough to even know how or why they got scammed.

"I just clicked one thing and suddenly they had my bank details and took my money!'

<36>

Its annoying how they now show two ads before a video

Because my touchscreen literally misfired as I was scrolling down, it took me to the site before I could close the tab and it signed me up without prompting.

I opened my app just now and right at the top was a dating site ad.

Literally none of that happened.

Fucking did.

Why would I lie?

yeah there is no way clicking a link by mistake can cost you money.
If that was the case that would be huge business.

Something is missing in this story.

Free music for £4.50 is good value tbf

Fucking hell mate, why is there always an assumed agenda?

I have literally nothing to hide, no alterior motive, nothing to prove to you guys.

Fuck, there are only two women left on Sherdog...

Did I say you do? All I say is there is something missing here.

Its more or less impossible to be charged by clicking a link on the internet.
User agreement and what not... You have to accept charges, you also would need a user profile with your information and what phone number to bill. websites cant see your phone number when you surf their web site...

And if this happened it would be all over the news.....
Its freaking YouTube I think more people than you would be complaining about this.
