UFC Fight Night 81 - Dillashaw vs Cruz

So much Cruz love at slight dog odds. IF he's 100% and little to no ring rust I'd maybe make him even or a tiny favorite over this version of TJ. But so many unknowns with Dom. 1 minute of actual fight time in 4+ years? I think a ton more value in fight goes distance at -165.
I like to fight going to a decision, too. With that being said, the o.4.5 pays -170, so you're getting an extra 2.5 minutes for only 5 points. I also love the o2.0 at -347 as parlay material

Honestly, right now Cote is my most confident pick on the card. I see Cote as similar to Demian Maia as both veterans who know how to grind out wins. Cote doesn't have the same level of BJJ obv but both guys know how to win rounds and ultimately get the W. Getting Cote at even money is a steal IMO.

Also as mentioned above he has really honed his training and is doing it right. I think he has good overall IQ for the MMA game and more specifically good fight IQ.
Agreed on all fronts. My initial lean since this card was put together was Cote would be the most confident play for me. Happy to have him at such great odds.

He's definitely working on his grappling game in the later years of his career. I can see him beating Saunders in that fashion. I do feel like they're going to get hit plenty in the mix though Saunders usually gets his licks in and I do expect a few on Cote, but if Cote can stay heavy and score in Saunder's stifling guard I think that's his ticket to victory.
Speaking of getting hit, just another reason i'm so confident in Cote. Ben loves to turn the stand up into a firefight. Sakara fight aside, Cote has always notoriously had a granite chin. Ben will hit him, but he'll be hit MUCH harder and much cleaner in the exchanges. Robertson dropped him if i'm not mistaken, and Cote's boxing is fundamentally a hell of a lot better than Robertson.

Those BJJ Scout Cruz vids got me sweatin. That combat geek shit, so awesome.

Agree on all counts. Already have some on goes to a decision but adding a bit on o 4.5 too. Haven't done any parlays yet but agree there's value on that o 2.0. Hell, the only way I see this one ending inside 2 rounds is if Cruz blows out his knee or something weird like that.

Yeah honestly, o2.5 for the Hendricks fight being plus odds is crazy. Think thats wayyy more likely than a finish.

This is what happen when co-founder selling the company to investor, they f*cking squeeze every drop of blood from a rock. Same as pokerstars, partypoker, phamaceutical company etc. Greedy pigs destroying great company.

@iGnP always on these nail biters man hahaha should be an interesting 4th quarter
so dumb man. They had the spread covered at the end of the third quarter and out scored the kings in every quarter along the way. Then they decide to shit the bed in the fourth. Ugh. Sorry man hopefully you live bet them and somehow made a profit. Wish I did

Been watching tape on TJ. TJ is great striker but he has tendencies.
He has a reset where he steps back a bit and does a shuffle after he gets too flatfooted to get right back into his shifting. I think Domick Cruz takes advantage of this. Its always the same, he moves back and resets as stated before. Not only is he susceptible to the takedown due to not having a solid base, he could get barraged with the movement of Cruz to the cage. This links may be evened out now but I think its psychological. I just really like Cruz at dog odds and looking for any excuse to be on him. I'll take the overs definitely. But I'll do more research. Only one fighter on this card I'm 99% sure is going to with and that's Latifi. R1 and the under are good plats I feel but I'll make bets later on.

I heard Cruz is studying tape of one of these to figure out TJ's movement patterns

While I'm on Dom Cruz, who's to say to say if a judge decides to give it to TJ Dillashaw if he's able to "advance" more often than Cruz, who will be looking to pick his shots. You never really know with judges perception right?

I often think of judges as 5 year olds dicking around and when the 10 second clapper sounds off is when they look up and see what's going on and then score the round.

Ladbrokes have Pearson + Pettis @ evens.
Might have put some on it if I didn't have this horrible TJ + Pettis parlay already. Not super confident in Pearson though but i havn't watched tape on this fight yet.
