Phone records and intercepted calls show that members of Donald J. Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign and other Trump associates had repeated contacts with senior Russian intelligence officials in the year before the election, according to four current and former American officials.

The intercepted calls are different from the wiretapped conversations last year between Michael T. Flynn, President Trump’s former national security adviser, and Sergey I. Kislyak, the Russian ambassador to the United States. During those calls, which led to Mr. Flynn’s resignation on Monday night, the two men discussed sanctions that the Obama administration imposed on Russia in December.

But the cases are part of the routine electronic surveillance of communications of foreign officials by American intelligence and law enforcement agencies.

Two days after the election in November, Sergei A. Ryabkov, the deputy Russian foreign minister, said that “there were contacts” during the campaign between Russian officials and Mr. Trump’s team.

“Obviously, we know most of the people from his entourage,” Mr. Ryabkov said in an interview with the Russian Interfax news agency.

Just like there's no issue with the Saudis who dumped 10s of millions into Hilary's bank account and there was contact there.

Yeah, I'm beginning to believe the CT that the official party line of Pence "being kept in the dark" on Flynn is being done to keep him clean enough to take over as President "just in case".

This is old news. We have known this for 3 months and there is no proof as stated in posts below. It's not a secret. The crux of it is also conjecture.

Yeah, so far it isn't enough to really damn anyone (other than Flynn LOL) but it matches the timeline. In the coming weeks we will find out if this was a smoke screen, or the tip of the iceberg.

Have to agree, this is not news worthy, and is just libtards selling to those that want to believe so badly that they will fill in the blanks of their minds with whatever fantasy fits their agenda. If libs want his head so bad, they will have to find some facts and evidence. Until then they are just becoming less politically honest, and thus less credible in the minds of everyone, including their own moderate base. They are digging a hole for themselves.
