Watch the end of this interview Dana just did. So he is saying that at the moment they start the fight Conor is stripped or what? Why can't they just be clear about this.

Not to mention that as THE promoter for the premier MMA league, you have to know it is a PR nightmare to make a major announcement on April fucking fools day.

honestly its starting to seem true, and I'll be more mad if it turns out being fake because theres no point in doing an april fools when the first part of the trickery starts with "this is not an april fools"

And Holloway saying in the ariel interview his ankle is injured and the earliest he would fight again would be July/August and now hes fighting this week? They should have just put Felder in the main event or something. Really bummed out by this news :/

Ha me too. Reality is it doesn't really affect my life.

Yet I still feel gutshot. I really thought the fight would happen this time.

Seems like these two are destined to never fight. Such a shame.
 
Khabib gonna run through an injured Max on short notice, but it is amusing to think about the fun Conor would have w Max having two fake belts.
 
For anyone wondering why Dana wasn't eager to specify when he was stripping Conor of the LW belt, this is an example of why he hemmed and hawed and wouldn't clarify the situation. Who knows, maybe when Max & Khabib enter the cage the broadcast will tell us that this is for the actual LW belt and that Conor is stripped; maybe they'll tell us that this is for the interim LW belt and that the winner will fight Conor to unify the belts; or maybe they'l keep us guessing and even the commentators on the broadcast will argue among themselves as to what is happening.

It def seems real but given the lack of promotion leading up to Thai point it would be pretty clever.

Well I might end up looking like an idiot but none of this seems feasible. Max looked bigger than DC 10 days ago on UFC tonight and now he's going to make 155? And he's injured? Come on....

5D lines opened with Khabib supposedly as a -505 favorite vs +365 on Max. By the time I looked minutes later Khabib was at -400. Who the hell was betting Max in this situation on a few days notice, up in weight against a bigger man, with the worst stylistic matchup possible and coming off an ankle injury where he wasn't supposed to return until the summer? Holloway hasn't even left Hawaii yet for crying out loud! I kept maximum betting what they would allow me and as it stands I have a total of $1750 on Khabib now between -350, -365, -380 and -400. If I get burnt on this so be it, but I give Max very little hope in this one despite being on Tony originally.
