I was close to voting for Trump myself. I couldn't stand Hillary and did not vote for her. In the end I voted for Jill Stein, cause I had a feeling Trump would go back on major issues I agreed with him on.

Nativism and racial resentment is a big part of his appeal. But people also voted for him because of one or more of the following stances he held in 2016 : economic nationalism , getting tough with the Saudis , not wanting to wage war with Assad, he was legit seen as an outsider who was hated by teh GOP establishment, dislike of Hillary , calling out China, outsourcing.

I think all of the above played a part in him winning the swing states. I wouldn't say WNism was *the* reason people voted for him, just that it was/is a major factor for many of his grass-roots.

Depends on the which races the bi-racial person is and whether he/she can pass for White. I have 2 Hapa friends who could be WNist if they wanted to because they look totally White. In general though mixed race people (White + non-White) couldn't pass for White. This guy could pass for White though, not necessarily Northern Euro White, but some other White ethnicity.

If a mixed race person can pass for White and identifies as White, then they could be a WNist, if they wanted to. Even some of the folks on Stormfront don't abide by the 1 drop rule, they say that if you look White, identify as White and want what's best for Whites, then you are White.

I didnt like the direction the country was headed in, and I believed Hillary would have exacerbated that.

Trump was a wild card, and I really liked him at first because he was calling out Republicans for their shit, like no one else before. I still had issues with him.

In the end, I voted the most morally sensible candidate, and that was stein
