I don’t see any agenda. I forgot all about that fight. And since it’s a rainy day I’ll watch it again.

It happened a long time ago 50% of sherdog joined because of Connor so maybe they will go and appreciate that fight for what it is. Fitch was dominating everyone at that time (in the most boring way.)

And Fitch is still doing well. Recent draw against McDonald. And his current win streak involves Daley, Okami, and Shields

It is up there as one of the greatest title performances in UFC history. Fitch was a deserving contender, and GSP beat the shit out of him so badly nobody would have ever wanted to see a rematch.

Hell, people thought Franklin had a chance in the rematch against Anderson Silva, to put things into perspective.

GSP may be p4p the greatest of all time (in fantasy land were smaller and inferior fighters are rewarded for being small) but in reality Fedor is the greatest of all time.

I agree that Fedor was the greatest of his time in the most dangerous division. The man never played safe even today which makes him a warrior in my books.
He is my number 1 pick for a few reasons, however, I still think there are a few others who are greats in their own right.

All of these guys are now shadows of what they were but still have my respect, well, other than Jones but we all know he has too many black stains.

Granted most of GSP's fights are one sided but this was back when George still had a little bit of killer instinct and he was dominating a guy that had gone 8-0 since entering the UFC. His right hand counter to Fitch's left at the beginning of the third round was especially sweet. If this fight happened today, it'd be scored 50-41 for sure under the current judging system.

Alot of people forget about that fight because of how grinding Fitch was in his career. For me, its top 3 of Georges best win / most important victories.
