Its the exact same thing as with Ronda, who again, fought like an absolute idiot running into counter after counter and then when she lost people didn't say 'wow Ronda was an idiot!', they said 'Holm was amazing!' And made her -300 favourite vs Miesha who then finished her.

Don't get me wrong in each of those fights Holm and Amanda did what they had to, but their opponents made it incredibly easy for them compared to what they could of done.

Of course I should just get out of here because I'm actually capable of looking at individual performances objectively and how well individuals actually performed though. So many people in this forum are way too happy with superficial analysis and chatting shit.

TBF, Holm looked like a -300 (well, maybe -200 to -250ish) favorite vs Meisha until Cupcake hit that miracle TD/back take/RNC in the 5th. One of the cooler moments in MMA but it was a hail Mary for sure. Holly hadn't damaged Meisha badly but she was dominating her prior to that crazy finish.

Sort of true although I'm pretty sure Miesha got a 10-8 R2 where she got her down and domianted as well so it almost went to a draw with Miesha getting her down at the end again.

But in every other round yeah it was just Holm easily outpointing her and winning easily. Would probably of won the rematch convincingly enough with adjustments.
 
Honestly people overvalue the Nunes-Cyborg win like they do the Cejudo-Dillashaw win and a lot of other sub one-min KOs. People are chinny in the first minute.

I do think Nunes will win, but that Nunes bettors will also be frustrated by it being a thin margin.
 
why is Vera the underdog vs Sean O'malley? I would say Vera is a much more accomplished and diverse fighter than O'Malley, also a lot more active!

Vera can't deal with pressure, can't fight going backwards, weak wrestling, O'Malley is definitely the more diverse fighter especially striking.

Layoff isn't a worry as O'Malley sorted out any injuries and is only 24 and has been training hard. Likely he comes out improved.

If nothing else O'Malley probably wins R1 clearly and then Vera may switch on the pressure and try to make a comeback but livebets a much better option for that.

Proven tainted supplement and he's been training the whole time or fixing any long term injuries. Most likely he comes back looking better than ever.

I think I'd rather play the JJ KO prop. Santos probably forces him to actually fight and gets slept with something vicious.

even without that win Nunes beat girl with gun tattoo twice (although kinda close, twice is no fluke) while Holly lost decisively

much more evidence in favour of miss Nunes - and i will be betting on her for sure
