Why is Mousasi never brought up in GOAT discussions?

The timing of this thread is hilarious, guy just lost the mickey mouse MW Bellator belt and you're harping on about whether he should be talked about as a potential GOAT. Got to give it to you Moose fanboys, win or lose you stay just as delusional.

Hes mmas only paradox. Fighting 17 years and only 34 and in prime now WITH LITTLE TO ZERO mma mileage shown. Hes 34 and looks like a fresh 28[ can you say FIGHT IQ]- unheard of after fighting successfully and racking up titles in 2 different weight classes over every top promotion.......and was 12-3 under zuffa umbrella and only fighter in UFC history to leave on 5 fight stoppage streak ( well 4 and the leites prison rape).

A combined 54-7 mma and k1. 46-7, 8-0 ...and he didnt lose that fight to Lovato so as far as I'm concerned hes 47-6 or at very least 46-6-1 ( actually has another draw as a teen).

Only guy since 20 or so - 14 years straight ranked from champion to top 10 the whole way AND , AGAIN, just turned 34 a couple weeks ago. Has never lost 2 in a row in SEVENTEEN YEARS.
One of the goats---- we'll see where when it's all said and done.

Top 5 MW maybe, top 30 all - time at best. I like Moose, but he's too off and on.
 
Mousasi tends to really trigger people here. Apparently he had fans that were annoying 8, 9, and 10+ years ago and that's traumatized people here to the point where just reading the name "Mousasi" sends them into an emotional rage.

His resume isn’t that deep for a guy with 50 fights. Just my opinion. His ufc run is full of wins over guys that weren’t top MWs. Shopworn Weidman is his best win in UFC

You kidding mate, they're still alive and very much kicking today, surely this thread is indicative of that. Guy's best UFC win is against an on the skids Chris Weidman and he just lost the mickey mouse Bellator MW belt but yep he's right there in GOAT discussions. Surely a GOAT needs to be have been best fighter in weight class for a substantive period.

Anderson is definitely the MW GOAT, but the post I quoted didn't distinguish.


Maxhida didn't do much at mw, besides beat Moose.
 
Moose will never and has never matched up with the elite of the elite
A top 10 middleweight for sure, but he just doesn't cut it against the Jacares, Romeros and whittakers of this world, let alone the best middleweights of the past like Anderson
 
Because he's not in the conversation. Even if we're including non champs Jacare and Romero have better wins. If you're not definitively the best of your era how can you be the goat?

There are great elite fighters besides UFC ( yes- nowhere close as far as quantity but there are and mousasi had his successful run in UFC and wasnt given his shot and bisping SHOT DOWN THE TITLE CONTRACT PUT IN FRONT OF HIM TO LOSE TITLE TO MOOSE so .........).

This more for the people not aware of one of the goats in moose and how things actually went down as he fought out final contract[ at 7-1 and only fighter to leave mma s top promotion on 5 fight murder streak]So many people dont realize.

Todays mousasi LARGE FAVORITE over any version of my boy Franklin.
I cant be any more honest than that.

Jesus, Rich beat wanderlei twice and one was close. Todays mousasi finishes wanderlei 18/20x and wins 20/20.

It's ok, you're not too bright when it comes to one particular fighter.

I'm not perfect, either- sure I've been "off" on certain fighters in past.
I can admit it.
