It's not bad proposing something against common wisdom when someone does it with the appropriate modesty
and with solid arguments and that's not the case with you.
You confuse proper rotation with overreaching. Having your rear heel up is necessary to rotate properly.
Even if you could make a case that it jeopardises the balance, claiming that it limits power is just ludicrous and it clearly
show your limits.
Even in other arts like Karate where traditionally the proper form is considered having the rear foot down, this is something that Karateka
emphasise more on rookies in the initial stage of their training where they have poor grasp of fundamentals and balance and even many among them admit that heel up is necessary to add power although traditionally their arts haven't the same take boxing has on the subject.
