i dont know your experience with street fights,but man,legit martial artists get kod way more in street fights than high level brawlers,many times martial artists need space and time to think and a street fight is not their element,of course im talking about exceptions,for example in 100 street fights someone like lyoto machida would probably get ko d once by a brawler that doesnt know much,while a guy like perry simply would not,because he wouldnt go down with a punch and less space would probably be better for him,thats just my opinion im not saying its the truth but i do have seen some brawls and heard a bunch of stories,especially here in brazil,where im from

in a place where you dont have enough space to stay away man..cmon,i dont know if it is the same in usa but in brazil there is usually a bunch of people around and not many space for you to go in and out,i do think that perry would have more success than lyoto in street fights,cause he can take a shot better and his style suits better a street fight,and im sorry to disappoint you but in street fights keeping your guard up and trying to fight the simplest way possible is the best option,mr myiagi shit doesnt work.when you say professionals have a hard time hitting lyoto you are not considering the limited space and once again i said that i tought perry would do better in street fights but i did say that both of them would basically always win.it is the same as bare knuckle boxing for me,i believe that perry`s style would work better than lyoto´s,cause i believe he can take a shot better and land more shots,even tough lyoto is way more precise i think both in street fights as in bare knuckle being tougher is more important.

There were some videos of MJW in "full contact" matches floating around the internet years ago, but they looked more like in house sparring sessions to me. Also, the way people carried their hands lead me to believe punches to the head weren't allowed, so I don't know how full contact that is. But there were a lot of leg kicks and people were trowing punches to the torso. I actually remember him looking defensively pours and having pretty conservative offense.

You're right. Only kicks to the head are allowed, not punches. Ashihara allows punches to the head, if I recall correctly.

Apart from that i dont get what people have with the "lifelong martial artist". You never watched Pride? Thousands of black belts who got besten so badly just because they werent ready to fight in a cage.
