Plus Japan confirmed some Japanese tourists in Hawaii (!) long time ago were infected with coronavirus. And they have never been to China.

China also says there was an epidemic of pneumonia in the US, and might have not been from the electronic cigarettes. Right after the closure of the Washington (Maryland) lab this epidemic started.

Plus China got infected from 5 athletes (Americans) participating in a competition in China.

Muay Thai gyms in Thailand are now shut down.

The lung issue in the States was from vitamin E used in black market cannabis vape cartridges which coated the lungs in a thick oil. I personally know big manufacturers of cannabis cartridges in CA, and this is the truth. No conspiracy there. This didn't come from the States the spread would be way more bigger if it started here. Calm down with the conspiracy theories.

Most of the Bay Area is on "shelter in place" order and only necissary business remains open. Two more cases in my county last night who were health workers so I'll probably get that order today.

We've been having massive forest fires here every year (my mom's entire neighborhood burnt down 2 years ago) so at least I'm used to this anxiety and I have a shit load of quality masks on hand that I used to deal with the smoke.

It is not a conspiracy theory, Snub, it is what China, Taiwan and Japan say officially. If it is, it is their conspiracy. But yet the Chinese are indeed using some declarations of Japan, plus Taiwan is Chinese from what we know anyway.

In most of the cases it is the fault of the Commie "governs", indeed. But in a deciding court it is all about bringing evidence. And in this case the Asians must be bring some proofs.

They've somehow twisted the narrative that if you call it the Wuhan Virus or Chinese Virus that somehow makes you a racist, and idiots in the US are pushing that narrative too.

Like, diseases have been named by their origins forever...

There is so much fake information around because of different reasons. One reason is, we don't have good access to accurate information.

But Chinas government is now kicking out US reporters, because they want to avoid unwanted coverage. As i said, anything that comes out from Chinese government
officials has a significant chance it's propaganda. The same goes for Cuba, Venezuela and Russia. Left-wing media from these countries were just reporting a few days ago that Cuba had invented a vaccine against coronavirus, which supposedly had saved over 1500 lives in China. It turned out it was all left-wing propaganda.

From Trump, a lot of false statements are made. I don't know if it's either incompetence, compulsive lying or protecting his ego. But at least they're not kicking out reporters for criticizing how the government has handled the situation.

Unfortunately, Trump lying wasn’t the the only thing he fucked up. He also refused testing kits from South Korea. This left us with a massive shortage and no way to test the majority of the population. Probably the worst thing he’s has done was the dismantling and undercutting he’s done to various vital institutions including the CDC, which is trying to pickup all the pieces here. He straight up dismantled the NSC (a global pandemic security unit that was universally praised) simply because it was something Obama championed. Regardless of how we view the ethics involved the US is the biggest security force in the world. This means that in the event of a major emergency (like for instance a global pandemic) much of the burden of responsibility falls to the US to help manage and show leadership through such a crisis. When you end up with a narcissistic buffoon as the leader of the free world incompetence and major fuckups are what you should expect.
 
Anyone have any personal experiences so far? My friend successfully recovered from the virus last week. He is in shape and doesn't smoke so he basically just got a 5 day fever from it.

I had was down with something for a couple days similar symptoms to what I’ve heard described. Didn’t take long for me to recover I’m late 20’s in fight shape (was in fight camp). Thing is it could have been one of a number of viruses no way to know without a way of getting tested.
 
Someone I vaguely know has it, they're ok so far. No reported corona deaths in Finland yet, and think we'll be fairly ok relative to most other countries too.

The telltale signs seem to be that with covid19 it gets better then gets worse, and chest pain. That's how my friends doc identified it anyways(together with the fact he just got back from vacation).

There are conflicting reports about this. According to a post on the WSJ, it started with the Obama administration and then continued to be shrunk during the Trump administration.

One thing thst bothers me is how every body focuses on calling Trump racist for saying Chinese Virus instead of calling them out on their late, inadequate response. It's not just trump but also at state level, more could have been done. Only within the last days it seems like they have taken it seriously.

I'm not a fan of Trump but this isn't exactly true. The Senior Director of the NSC Timothy Ziemer wasn't fired he quit, then John Bolton who never should have been hired as the National Security Advisor was tasked with reorganizing the team and as expected that NeoCon was incompetent. Who knows, John Bolton is a guy that may actually want a pandemic to happen.

I don’t think calling it the Wuhan or Chinese flu is necessary racist. There’s definitely a precedent for naming pandemic after regions they originated from. I have never been called a racist for referring to the Spanish flu by its name. If people want to point at something that Trump has said that’s racist there are definitely better examples.
