How long will your tank of gas in your car last?

I put a full tank almost two weeks ago and I drove yesterday a bit and it's almost full still.

The big joke is that gas is the cheapest it has been in a while right now.

I wake up to a full tank every morning. Haven't been to a Gas Station in 7 years. Don't miss it. ;)

Mpg 22.

Time between Fillups is same as before the pandemic. Once a month or so. I always work at home. So its shopping and fishing.

I had to look up gas tank capacity and compare my brand new car w/old car and saw new car's tank is smaller, which probably explains why I gotta fill gas more frequently, so I'm waiting until 1/4 tank instead of before at 1/2 tank like they recommend in case of emergency.

I haven't driven my car in 2.5 weeks. Which is a good thing since it's a gas pig and gets 17 mpg. Although I'll probably be doing some driving this weekend and I may have to go into work a couple days next week. Regardless, it'll be interesting to see how long a tank lasts.

Gas has dropped to $2.49 at Costco which is super low here. Even $2.69 for premium which I have to put in mine.

A week tops. I drive for a living. A tank is about $20 cheaper than usual right now which is nice.

Uh oh, another internet soldier of fortune.

With my work and a grocery store less than 5 miles away, I believe I could go a month or so.
Uh oh, another late prepper. Me, I have enough food to stay inside for at least a couple of months.

So, I filled up with gas a few weeks ago just before this thing started. Since, then, I might have driven 40 miles or so as the grocery store is really the only place I go which is within a few miles.

Anyhow, I think my current tank of gas will last two to as much as four months if this thing keeps on going.

What about you guys?

Since I retired, I use more gasoline in my lawnmower than in my car. I used to drive 60 miles round trip to visit my aunt every month but I can't do that now. I've had my current car for two years and have only filled the tank 3 times. I haven't filled my pickup in over a year and still have well over half of the 34 gallons left.

Is part of your prepping plan to kill people and steal their property like you implied earlier? Just wondering, I get all you Kaczynski types mixed up.

You don't know a whole lot about Ted Kaczynski, huh?

No, please give me his biography from memory. Make it as lengthy as possible.

There's a pretty good series about him on Netflix if you're actually interested. He wasn't a doomsday prepper fyi.

Sorry for drawing your attention to the fact you made a poor analogy. I should have respected your safe space.

I think maybe you should re-read/watch his biography.

You charge every night?? I do like twice a week maybe.

I had an ICE rental car a few months ago, and it fucking sucked. After you have a Tesla, it would be hard to drive anything else.

Who said anything about doomsday?

He was a neo luddite. He wasn't 'prepping' for anything. He didn't hoard resources. He was living off the land because he rejected modern society's reliance on tech, not because he predicted it's collapse.

Just admit it was a poor reference and move on. This is embarrassing.
