Can a woman DB bench 67 lbs each arms for reps without steroids?

Why is that? I found that to be true, but don't really understand why. Based on my barbell bench, I should be able to lift in the 120# range in dumbells, but I find 90's to be close to my limit already.
Balance and stability play a factor. It's MUCH easier to balance a barbell with two hands than a dumbbell with one hand. It's also why you can put up more weight on a Smith machine than on a barbell.

I already said it wouldn't 100% mean she was on roids. I said it would make her a beast. It would make her a beast. It's top .1% of women who work out, so don't act like it's anything else..

Son lol

Her shape looks natty to me

^ i guarantee that chick ends up turning into a comic book creature with Anavar cycles and plastic surgery.

A wrestler I coached in HS was able to do 80's by the time she hit 19. Not on gear, she wont even take creatine or protein powder. It's not out of the realm of possibility by far lol. Shes cuts to 150 for competitions.

Yeah I don't think some of the people talking itt really have any real life experience with trainibg and gyms in general. It's kind of obvious.

A chick that can do 65's is a beast. A chick that can do 80's is 99.99% on roids.

Almost all powerlifting and strongmen competitors are roided up. You pretty much have to be to be anywhere near competitive
I would disagree with powerlifting. IMO there are many world class/elite level powerlifters that I believe are natural. Of course at the same time there are some that compete in tested federations that are likely roided up, but the I really dislike the assumption that all are on something. They don't realize that there are extreme outliers out there that have both the genetics, leverages, high level responders to strength training and put in the work to get where they are at now. Also people don't realize that the popularity of powerlting (especially raw), have raised significantly (and at a young age) in the past 5+ years or so. So more people training to be strong = higher probability for more strong people.

Unless you're married to the person and are with them all the time, you can't truly know if someone is on gear or not. Not all juiceheads are built like Jay Cutler or Mariusz Pudswhatever

Yea there are the very, very rare case where someone is a competitive strongman naturally, but most are on the juice. While possible, the odds are so low (1/1000? 1/10,000?) that it's safe to assume if you're at a certain level of strength and/or size, you're not natural.

Considering that 67 lbs isn't heavy yes. Most of my girlfriends have been able to push 150+ lbs for bench.
67 per dumbbell. That is impressive for a woman, but totally possible clean. Now 97 would be a whole different story, totally on roids then.

Dumbbells are harder to stabilize. So they aren’t directly comparable. When I was maxing at 105 lbs dumbbells I was able to do 305 on the bar for my 1 rep max.

This Vilma Olsson, a popular swedish pro- powerlifter. In the video she benches 65 lbs and can only to do three reps more than the OP girl
If a woman that only bench for aesthetic and fun is comparable with a professional of the same weight and older it's very impressive

Competitive strongman is different then competitive powerlifting. For the world class strongman athletes it's basically a career for them. PEDS use in professional sports is a entire different ballgame. Competitive powerlifting on the otherhand is just a fringe sport. Besides a few, the majority are not making any significant money off of being a world class powerlifter. Maybe if powerlifting got into the Olympics and more money was thrown towards big meets I could see the tide turning overtime, but for now it's just a hobby for most.

I read somewhere that your dumbbell max is only 70% of your barbell max. I didn't know how true that was but your numbers seem to match that.

Fair enough but in this day and age, there seem to be a lot of people who are willing to use a small amount of roids just casually. You know, just to look good or be strong but not try to be competitive.

Maybe 172 lbs? I think 150 lbs barbell it's pretty comparable to 67 lbs DB
If the 70% rule I talked about a couple posts above is true, you'd need a 190 lb bench to put up 67 lb dumbbells. I dunno if that 70% thing is actually the case, though.

It'd be something interesting to test out when gyms open up again.

Also there are many factors when taking into consideration between the correlation of what you can flat bench with a barbell and what you can do with dumbbells. Strength is also specific to the movement. Just because you bench x amount with a barbell it does not automatically correlate to what you can do with dumbbells. If you rarely bench with dumbbells you will probably suck at it compared to your barbell bench. If you bench with dumbbells multiple times a week you will probably be much stronger at it.

She's a freak. Good for her. She's a 1/10,000 of girls that work-out. so my 99.99% on roids stands.

Girls being able to do significantly over their weight in DB's is extremely rare.

I do know a woman or two-three irl that can bench 65's.. One was known on steroids, and I don't know about the others.

The others two benches 65s in perfect form? And are they bigger than OP girl? The age is pretty relevant too
