Speaking of which, @Fawlty Elizabeth you might be interested in this as a fellow pool player. I was in a race to 5 for a sawbuck, no warm up. Won the first game after several embarrassing misses by both of us, lost the next 4. I should also mention I was a little high and starting my second beer going into game 5. But then the ADHD meds kicked in and I won the next four racks on the trot, including a tricky long bank on the 8 in the last game. Whoopee. But had second thoughts about celebrating. Did I cheat via PEDs? Should I feel guilty taking the person's money, considering they practice nearly every day, but I walked in off the street and took the match thanks to a combination of many years of experience and little white pills, but otherwise, haven't put the work in (as it were) in many weeks?

Golf clap to you, sir. I'm fairly certain that ADHD meds can be PEDs, but that's really more like you're acquiring the ability to concentrate like a normal person trying to concentrate. So I don't think it's inherently unfair. There is something magical about the start of the second beer, though, I'm convinced.

I sold my cues, had a very nice Schon and broke with a solid old Joss. Miss 'em a little. I especially miss the sound of them.
