Right up front, this isn't about who should win or any of that crap. This is a "what if" based on the hypothetical of ARs going back on the banned list. Please keep it to that

So with that out of the way, if ARs ended up back on the banned list what would be your likely plan? Do you have a firearm boating accident and bury them in the yard till some future date when you can bring them out without getting arrested? Do you sell them back to the government or whatever such plan is in place by the comrades in charge? What would be your backup firearm load out if ARs are no longer on the menu for practice, general ownership, etc?

For myself it will be the standby of pistol / shotgun. Sig P320 and Mossberg 500. Went with the Moss because they're plentiful and reliable and I wouldn't be overly worried about beating it up. Switched to a smaller Hogue youth stock for a shorter LOP. This just lets me square up easier and allows for much easier shouldering/firing for my wife. Added a shell side saddle, light and larger safety which is easier to manipulate quickly. Only other upgrade I plan for it a better at this time is a front sight and for that I will likely go with XS Big Dot Tritium sight. Receiver isn't tapped so no plans on a red dot at this time.

So the current stuff isn't grandfathered? What are the options, register them or sell to the government?

Idk it's a tough decision. People have a lot of guns and money tied up in them. Civil disobedience will likely be practiced by a lot of people. Some will register, some will sell to others or take the forced by back.

If there are still semi auto platforms with whatever the biggest capacity available is would be my answer.

Yeah, not grandfathered. Nothing over 10rds. Semi-auto limited to shotguns and pistol calibers. Rifles bolt-action or lever action only and limited to 4 rds. Buy back or destroy. Civil disobedience is a given, but if you have to hide the good stuff what are you rolling with, practicing with instead cause unless you have some awfully remote range available you won't be able to take your now illegal firearms to any commercial range and are royally screwed if you get caught with them.

Probably just waiting and hoping for the courts to overturn.

I'd probably just start doing bolt action long range stuff.

Dry fire at home.

What about nfa stuff. I have sbrs.

Well if they nuke ARs and most semi-autos I imagine they would nuke SBRs and likely suppressors as well.

Idk man I have a lot of money invested in firearms and accessories. I have a bunch of nfa items as well. It's not a scenario I want to see.

Neither would I but in the event of a Biden presidency its more likely. If the Democrats take the Senate and maintain the House as well... seems almost a foregone conclusion.

I see some big court battles. I have 10's of thousands of dollars invested. For them to say turn shit in that was legally purchased for pennies on the dollar would be absolute bullshit.

Agreed, but doesn't mean they wouldn't do it. But then, having armed conservatives makes for a good boogeyman to scare Democrats with. You know, all those armed militias and such just waiting for the great race war to begin so they can start their genocidal progroms. lol

Bought a used pistol with a big dot sight. Hated it. Couldn't see the damn target. No clue what the appeal is.

As far as Joe winning, I'm planning to prep some stuff for immediate sale if that occurs. For what's left, it won't be turned in to the .gov. Can't imagine it coming to that though. The '94 AWB was pre-Heller and McDonald. So courts somewhere would step in, and since it would be nationwide SCOTUS would likely have to take the case due to the obvious conflict with precedent. And no grandfathering would spark some serious unrest. If the right started behaving as we've seen from the left then shit would get much uglier than things are now.

But I expect a panic regardless.

PS: I've been wrong before.

Biden’s plan includes a stricter AWB with no grandfather clause (you either NFA it or participate in a mandatory buyback). So I guess my 6921 would end up lost at sea in an unfortunate boating accident.

They aren't going to move on any legislation. It's a talking point.

If they did then it would really depend on the wording. My guess is they would ban Semi-automatic rifles of x caliber and above. I'm definitely not a gun expert, but I think if they do it that way a lot of people would get a pistol caliber carbine. There would be a lot of enthusiasts and die hards stashing old rifles, but a lot of casuals would take the sell back to pay for something they can take hunting or to the range.

a lot of federal agents are gonna start wondering how good their armor is...

Get everything you possibly can now.

I managed to order an AK-V and an AK-P this week. And I have made some substantial purchases over the last 10 months or so.

I'm seeing a lot of sales going now from places like CDCC, Midway, etc. on everything they still have in stock. Almost as if they don't want to be holding too much inventory when the music stops.
