This need to be a P4P fight for it to make sense, although we can take liberties somewhat and assume that this would go similarly to how DC vs Jones 1/2 went.

Like DC, Khabib would bring strength that belie his size as well as a serviceable stand-up to his game since his punches can still rattle the majority of his opponents if they ever connect.

Difference being that p4p wise, Khabib exudes way more pressure towards his opponents than DC ever could and has more durability and gas tank, so for Jones it'd be like facing a juiced version of DC pretty much.

He cuts a lot of weight to fight smaller men, and it helps his style as much as the reach advantage helped Conor at 145. That's facts.

Smaller doesn't just mean shorter or shorter-armed, my guy. Also facts... they're called 'weight' classes, not 'reach and height' classes.

He's roughly the size of Matt Hughes... and he looks every bit the walking skeleton on the scale as McGregor did. Come-on, man.

He's humble, and he's incredibly skilled, and even accounting for the weight-cutting, he's the best fighter ever at lightweight. No hate (other than my general dislike for cutting massive amounts of weight,) But in the P4P list/GOAT debate, you don't get to be number 1 by fighting smaller dudes, it's just that simple.

DC and Khabib are nowhere near similar as mma wrestlers. Like they both said, DC will try to take you down a few times, if it doesn't work he stops. Khabib will never stop trying to take you down, and is a much better grappler once he gets you down (DC is also a great grappler but Khabib is just the best ever)

Yes he should , his overall record is better, as in he has fought better competition. The last few fights should not overshadow his accomplishments unless he has actually lost.

Jones is on a slow-streak but nobody touches his UFC record , how many title fights has Khabib had?

Jones beat wrestlers at their game, knocked out stand up specialists and subbed black belts... he has more title fights than kabib has top15 fights, the only reasons you would choose kabib above him can be emotional desires but no facts. its ridiculous that people place kabib into the top5 where he hasnt even the most LW title defenses, its pure emotional reasons they push him that high, nothing else, by no other tangible fact he is anywhere above those top guys

Khabib if he could weigh the same weight class as Jones but as the two men as they are now with the specific attributes they have in their prime, it has to be Jon.

Jones has beat lots of elite fighters and still has not lost. Silva has lost lots of fights but beat many elite fighters, the difference is obvious. Still how many championship bouts did khabib fight to earn his p4p status? Jones also has not lost a fight really and is still winning.
