Television COBRA KAI (New Season 4 Promo; Returns Dec. 31, 2021)

Lmao that stood out to me when I last watched it. Not even like the guy had more than a line or two, goofy but not enough to ruin the movie.
Hey, that sort of weird thing does happen in combat sports though. Could be that Schute was part of a school that was crazy about weight-cutting. My dad wrestled up in weight a crazy amount, so did my brother. In photos, my dad looks insanely little next to the guys he wrestled.

My brother, on the other hand, was was insanely ripped, especially for a high schooler, but could have possibly made 160 and wrestled at 189 in high school. And there were no shortage of '71 and '89 pounders that looked smaller than him just because he was so doggone muscular.

That's one of the weird features of sports that involve weight-cutting.

Anyway, season 3 was really good, overall. I think they tried too hard to fit too much in, perhaps. I think group fights can be a bit of a weakness in the series, as it makes them scrimp on individual fights that probably deserve more time and weight. It also invariably leads to characters being jobbed unnecessarily, out of necessity for moving the scene along.

Lots of things to love though.

I'm thinking more so the teammate he has to wrestle off against for varisty. The guy is fucking massive and pretty shredded. I wrestled 171 weighing around 160, so both weights under me actually had bigger guys, but it was pretty cartoonist that monster was two weights under Louden with 2% bodyfat.

Was Cooch shredded and massive? Or do you mean another teammate from the movie?

Probably meant his teammate MacLean. Both he and Shute looked like 30 year old, 200+ lbs bodybuilders LOL. Frank Jasper, who played Shute said he was 215 lbs when they cast him and got as high as 225 during filming but they made him cut for his scenes.

Nah, the guy below Cooch. He wasn't shredded exactly, but he had some definition. Here he is standing next to 6' 2" Forrest Whitaker.

Jeez, looking for pictures I saw Shute again realized I forgot how massive he was. I don't know why they didn't just raise the weight classes lol, the average viewer would probably enjoy it more.

Just finished watching S3. I'm going to be sad when this show ends. It just fantastic and my favorite TV show on Netflix right now. It's up there with The Mandalorian for me .Kreese is kinda like Joffrey from GOT. You hate the bastard but can't keep your eyes off him when he's on screen. Kove is just great

Gonna let everything sink in and make a more detailed analysis later but it was a great season

Yeah saying that was 168 is just laughable. Shute looked bigger than in-cage Rumble when he fought at 170, and this was supposed to be HS same day weigh ins. But would have been even more ridiculous if they said it was 189, and Modine was having to cut down from HW.

That is kind of a disservice to Kreese, because he is a much more intelligent sociopath than Joffrey ever was.

Kreese's ability to play the victim card so effectively throughout season 3 is a sight to behold.

can someone explain to me why this show is good? I saw like 4 episodes then forgot abiut it because it seemed like some sort of abc family channel tv show.

He was definitely massive, that's for sure. I had also forgotten that.
