yeah i can see that. but judges rarely reward attacks from the bottom. not that they shouldn't but i'm actually surprised they did.
 
I think Max takes over the long the fight goes. Kattar doesn't really pressure and Holloway has the more diverse arsenal.
 
In that commercial just now, did Max Holloway say that 80-90% of people think he beat Volkanovski in the rematch?

Sad if that's what he actually said.
 
Did great on the prelims but all my main card plays went to shit. If Max can get there I break even and if he gets the decision I'm up.

Don't they? I thought it was the census that Holloway should have won, but maybe I am misinformed by listening to all my mates who all agree he clearly won

I had a nice sized bet on Holloway, and I thought he lost 2-3.

Holloway won Rounds 1 and 2, then he took his foot off the gas and lost Rounds 3, 4, 5. As Round 3 was happening, I was shitting bricks because he wasn't fighting the same.

Have you re-watched the fight?
 
in the thread for that fightcard i picked max on the merit of him having the better footwork and more ufc experience.

but watching some tape and seeing how big punchers (and Kattar surely is) manage to push him out of exchanges and make him hesitant and too cautious is putting doubt in me. i don't fucking know who's gonna win now. cant want to find out!
 
I love this fight. Holloway toolbox and pepper output vs Kattar long box and power

I want to ride with Holloway, but he should have done better vs Poirier, no matter, and his low output vs Volk is a red flag, feint master or not

And Kattar is skilled, but he won't do well if it's old Holloway who's moving and aggressive.. I don't like his stiff neck and limited counters, especially when being pushed back... BUT, he will win if he doesn't make his window of offense so small.. more so his fight to lose

Have to choose, on Kattar
 
nice to see kattar throw some leg kicks but max is as well, also quite a fast start from max
 
I don't think Kattar has the pressure to break Max's rhythm. Holloway doing well not to leave himself open for counters either.
 
Beautiful striking by Max. Kattar slowly chewing that leg up though.
 
Wow max looking good but can he keep thid up. He is throwing a sick amount of output.
 
All that bodywork should slow Kattar down even more.
