Do you budget your monthly food spending? We eat out in restaurants a lot, so we spend quite a bit on food. We average around 1k a month on food total.
I have a budget but not a strict food budget. Looks like I spent around $5200 last month on food, which is pretty typical but probably a little less than pre-COVID.
For the last year it's only been about $100/month or less usually weekends.
My job has been providing free breakfast and lunch. Probably have 2 months of that left because they are pushing for mandatory vaccination which isn't going to fly

Looks like I'll be in the minority with my food costs being lower. I keep reading about food inflation fears. Makes sense as everyone I know has been complaining about higher grocery bills of late.
A lot actually. Like roughly 500€ for me only. I buy local and high quality ingredients. But I spend even more on drugs.
The trade-off is driving a 2009 car.
