As I recall it, Jake's mom was 12 when she gave birth to him and was raped by Jake's dad starting when she was 11. Jake's dad was dating Jake's grandmother and then secretly raping her preteen daughter. His dad was a HUGE scary guy who never broke kayfabe and when Jake watched him wrestle he thought his dad was seriously getting hurt and was scared the whole time.
